The first ballot papers for the postal vote were delivered last Friday. The postal voting documents requested so far have all been processed and have all been sent out since the weekend. “As of 8 a.m. today, 10,116 postal voting documents have been sent out for the Bundestag election,” says election officer Lauréanne Hoeltzel-Waldmann.

All voting documents for German voters living abroad and voting documents to be sent abroad were handed over to the mail center for processing on time on Friday evening.

From today, Monday, February 10, the postal voting counter in the BürgerBüro will also be open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. The postal voting documents can also be collected there in person and anyone who has already decided to vote and is unable to do so on election day can also vote by post on site.

There is once again a ballot box in the citizens’ office into which the completed postal voting documents can be deposited. In addition, postal voting documents can be posted free of charge in any Deutsche Post letterbox or in the letterbox at the historic town hall, Hauptstraße 90. “It is important that the election letter is at the town hall by 6 p.m. on election day,” says Hoeltzel-Waldmann.
