All eligible voters are called upon to cast their vote in the election of the members of the 21st German Bundestag on February 23, 2025. How can you cast your vote without help if your eyesight is so poor that you can’t read the ballot paper yourself?
To ensure equal participation in the Bundestag elections, the associations for the blind and visually impaired offer to send out so-called ballot paper templates free of charge.
The ballot paper template is placed on the ballot paper. The fields for the “cross” are left blank in the template. Explanations are provided on the template in large, tactile letters. An audio CD is supplied together with the template – also free of charge. The CD can be played on standard CD players. This CD explains how to use the template. In addition, the contents of the ballot paper are recorded in full and it is also pointed out if a corresponding hole has not been filled with a voting proposal.
Do you have severely impaired vision yourself? Do you know people who would be interested in this offer? Then request a template and an audio CD with a recording of the contents of the official ballot paper free of charge from the associations for the blind and visually impaired by calling 0761/36122 (Deutsche Telekom landline number). You can also find information on the ballot paper template on the Internet.
