The election of the 18th state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and the referendum on the development of the special landing site into an industrial estate are approaching.
Both will take place together on March 8, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the respective polling stations. A polling station finder is available on the website www.offenburg.de/wahlen.
Election notifications are currently being sent out until February 15. Eligible voters who have not received a voter’s notification by this date but assume that they are on the electoral roll should contact the electoral office (contact details: see below).
If you decide to vote by post, you can apply online at www.offenburg.link/briefwahl. Important note: due to a technical error on the part of the IT service provider, the QR code on the election notification to apply for postal voting is permanently invalid.
If you would prefer to apply for a postal vote in writing, you can fill out the application form on the back of the election notification and hand it in at the Historic Town Hall (Hauptstraße 90) or drop it in the letterbox there. Alternatively, the postal vote application form can also be handed in at the Citizens’ Office during opening hours (Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday 8 am to 12 noon). Even though the staff at the Citizens’ Office will do their best to provide adequate information, the City of Offenburg asks that you contact the electoral office with any further questions you may have about the elections (contact details: see below).
From Monday, February 9, it will also be possible to use the voting counter in the citizens’ office. After applying for a postal vote, you can pick up your postal voting documents there or fill them out and hand them in on site.
